The Premise of God’s Favorite Idiot
The show revolves around Clark, a techie working at a support center. He leads a quiet life with his two cats. One day, in a twist of fate, he is struck by lightning. Although Clark survives the incident, he emerges from it with a remarkable change – he starts glowing.
In addition to Clark, the office where he works is filled with interesting characters. There’s the outspoken and loud Amily, the naive and discourteous Tom, and the reasonable and polite couple, Mohsin and Wendy. But why does Clark glow? Well, it turns out that God has chosen him to be the messenger on Earth.
In order to communicate with Clark, God takes the form of his former nurse, a woman. God’s message is clear: if people do not start treating each other with kindness, love, and respect, Lucifer will win the war in Heaven.
Things become even more challenging for Clark when Satan himself arrives on Earth to intervene. Although Clark receives assistance from God’s angels, Frisbee and Chamuel, the odds are stacked against him. The question then arises – will they succeed in fending off the demons and help God win the war?
The Future of God’s Favorite Idiot
So, has God’s Favorite Idiot been renewed for Season 2? The answer is both yes and no. No, because there won’t be a separate season two. However, the show was originally planned to have sixteen episodes in a single season. Therefore, the second part of the same season will be released.
It makes sense since the first season doesn’t conclude the story properly, allowing for more adventures of Clark and Amily together.
What We Know About Season 2 So Far
As for what we know about the second part of the season, there is very little information available at the moment. However, we do know that the cast has already been paid, and the writing is finished.
