Sita Ramam Ending Explained
Sita Ramam Plot Synopsis
The movie “Sita Ramam” has gained popularity since its release in theaters and on Amazon Prime Video. The story revolves around the romance between two star-crossed lovers, Afreen and Ram. Afreen, a bratty teenager from Pakistan, finds herself in trouble after vandalizing a rich man’s car. In order to seek financial assistance from her late grandfather, Brigadier Abu Tariq, she is given a task to deliver a letter to Sita Mahalaxmi, a woman from rival India. Reluctantly, Afreen embarks on a journey to find Sita and deliver the letter from Major Ram, written nearly two decades ago. Along the way, she discovers that Ram was an orphan soldier who received letters from people worldwide after it was revealed on national radio that he had no family. One of the senders is Sita Mahalaxmi, who claims to be Ram’s wife.
Did Sita tell Ram who she really is?
Ram eventually falls in love with Sita, who works as a dance teacher in a Royal Mansion. However, he remains unaware of her true identity. Sita is actually Princess Noor Jahan and the heir to the Royal Mansion. Wanting to reveal the truth to Ram, she plans to meet him at the train station before he departs for Kashmir. Unfortunately, due to a financial crisis, her brother arranges for her to marry a Mughal Prince. Determined not to let Ram go, Sita (Noor Jahan) refuses the wedding proposal and sets off to find Ram in Kashmir. The two lovers unite, but Ram is soon sent on a top-secret mission to Pakistan.
What mission is Ram on?
Ram and his crew’s mission is to eliminate Ansari, the individual responsible for inciting rage among Pakistani citizens towards the Indian Army. They are informed that failure to kill Ansari would result in being left on their own in Pakistan. Sita bids Ram farewell as he leaves for his mission, urging him to return as soon as he can. Ram successfully carries out the mission, but upon discovering a crying child inside Ansari’s burning hut, he risks his own safety to rescue her. Ram hands the child, Waheeda, to Captain Abu Tariq. Unfortunately, the Pakistani Army arrests Ram and his comrade Vishnu, subjecting them to months of torture during solitary confinement.
What does Sita (Noor Jahan) do to bring Ram back?
Anxious about Ram’s delayed return, Sita confronts the Army Brigadiers and learns of his capture by the Pakistani Army. She pleads with her brother to rescue Ram, and they strike a deal to exchange Ram and Vishnu for a Pakistani soldier held hostage by the Indian Army. However, the Pakistani Brigadier changes the terms and reveals that only one of them will be allowed to return to India. He demands the coordinates from both Ram and Vishnu. Ram refuses to betray his country, spitting on the Pakistani soldier’s face, while Vishnu, fearing for his family’s safety, discloses the coordinates.
Why is Brigadier Vishnu chasing Afreen?
Afreen’s quest to find Sita stems from her grandfather’s request to deliver Ram’s letter to her. As she learns about Sita’s true identity as Princess Noor Jahan, and Ram being sent on a mission away from her, Afreen becomes more determined to find either of them. It is later revealed that Ram had delivered the coordinates to the Pakistani Army, leading to the death of several Indian soldiers. The Indian Army apprehends Afreen upon her arrival in Kashmir, as Brigadier Vishnu seeks to prevent her from meeting Sita.
Who is Afreen?
Afreen’s companion, Balaji, is left behind while she is captured by the Indian Army. Balaji eventually finds Sita and delivers the letter Ram had written to her years ago. Brigadier Vishnu informs Afreen that she is actually Waheeda, the little girl whose cries Ram heard before being captured. Astonished, Afreen finally understands the purpose behind her grandfather’s request. Brigadier Vishnu, fearing that she may expose his betrayal, attempts to prevent Afreen from delivering the letter to Sita. However, the letter is already in Balaji’s possession.
What was written in Ram’s letter to Sita? Does Afreen meet Sita?
Sita reads Ram’s heartfelt letter, where he recounts the hardships they faced during their exile in Pakistan. He encourages Sita to move on and asks her to be understanding towards Captain Vishnu, who was overwhelmed by concerns for his family. Sita is moved to tears, as Ram refers to her as Princess Noor Jahan in the letter. Afreen rushes to Sita’s house in Kashmir and apologizes for what happened to Ram. She asks Sita about Ram’s whereabouts, and Sita sadly reveals that he was killed in Pakistan. Afreen discovers that Ram had entrusted the letter to Brigadier Abu Tariq just moments before his execution.
Does Sita Ramam have a happy ending?
Sita publicly shares the contents of Ram’s letter, revealing his innocence and loyalty to the nation. Ram is honored, and Sita accepts the title of his wife. The truth about Brigadier Vishnu’s betrayal is exposed, resulting in the stripping of his title. Afreen, realizing her mistake, apologizes to the rich man whose car she previously vandalized. She then commits herself to aiding war prisoners like Ram.
