The Next 365 Days: A Twisty Plot Synopsis

After a violent event, an uneasy truce is forged between two opposing sides. Massimo, consumed by anger over his brother’s death, demands his rivals to leave. Adriano is no more, while Laura manages to survive.

Interestingly, Laura has recuperated completely from her previous gunshot wound, which is scarcely mentioned in this installment. Her relationship with Massimo is on uncertain ground, prompting her to rekindle her career in fashion. However, the return of Nacho causes Laura to experience conflicting emotions.

What path will Laura choose?

Amidst the turmoil, the question arises: should Laura stay with the emotionally abusive and controlling Massimo, or should she explore a relationship with rival gangster Nacho? Alternatively, perhaps she should break free from these toxic men and forge her own path. Decisions like these are never easy!

Does Nacho express his love for Laura?

Yes, he does! After persistently pursuing her, Nacho finally catches up with Laura and persuades her to go for a drive. Their encounter ultimately leads to a passionate kiss. In a vulnerable moment, Nacho confesses, “I think I’m in love with you.” He respects Laura enough to give her the space to contemplate divorcing Massimo, revealing an additional layer of complexity to their relationship.

Nacho discloses that when Anna attempted to shoot Laura instead of Massimo, he intervened by shooting Anna to protect Massimo’s life. Nacho’s actions are driven by his love for Laura, hoping that she will choose him willingly rather than being coerced into it.

Will Massimo discover Laura’s actions?

During her visit to her family, Laura receives a distressing call from Olga. To her surprise, she learns that Massimo is aware of the connection between her and Nacho. Olga overheard snippets of conversations between Nacho and Domenico, where Nacho even threatened them. Despite the danger, Laura refuses to hide and decides to confront Massimo.

At the airport, Nacho ingeniously disguises himself as Laura’s driver, taking her home. During the ride, he candidly expresses how Laura has consumed his thoughts since their meeting. He showers her with compliments, emphasizing his willingness to do anything for her and his readiness to wait indefinitely, if necessary.

A Tense Conversation on the Beach

On the beach, Laura and Massimo engage in a heartfelt conversation. Massimo acknowledges that he didn’t want their time together to be filled with negativity, especially considering Laura’s loss of their baby. He confesses that he has been aware of Nacho’s existence for quite some time but chose not to confront it.

Massimo reflects on a quote his father used to share: “If you truly love something, let it go. If it comes back, it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t, then it was never meant to be.” As he asks if Laura has returned to him, their silence speaks volumes, leaving the answer shrouded in mystery as the scene fades to black.

The Ultimate Choice: Nacho or Massimo?

The million-dollar question remains: who will Laura choose? On one hand, Nacho has shown unwavering support for Laura’s personal journey and genuinely desires her well-being. However, his hidden past and affiliation with a rival gang add layers of complexity to their relationship.

Meanwhile, Massimo’s controlling and toxic nature has been evident since the first film. In an ideal world, Laura would perhaps break free from both of these tumultuous men and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Nevertheless, if we were to place our bets, Nacho seems like the more probable choice.

This decision could potentially ignite a full-blown gang war, causing Nacho to transform into a bloodthirsty antagonist, only to have Laura retreat back to Massimo’s side. Unfortunately, the movie leaves us hanging, leaving us eager to discover what lies ahead in the next chapter of this gripping franchise!
